Mike is an alumnus of Pomona College, in Claremont, CA, where he studied Neuroscience before moving on to medical school at Duke University. Duke's MD curriculum is unique in that every student must complete a year of research to graduate, and Mike's research interests have brought him here to UCSF. He plans on studying the progression of Barrett's esophagus into esophageal cancer.
