Sharon joined the Thoracic Oncology Lab in 2010 and spent the first year characterizing the immune profiles of tumor cells to understand the relationship between carcinogenesis and inflammation. She is currently in charge of running our NGS machines which include the Life Technologies SOLiD 5500, Ion Torrent PGM, and Ion Torrent Proton. Sharon has also been working on several projects related to the systems genetics of thoracic malignancies.
